Lack of persistent rainfall coupled with dry to very dry conditions led to the development of Severe (D2) Drought across all of Kenedy Island in mid-March.

Lack of persistent rainfall across the region led to the expansion of Extreme (D3) Drought for much of Coastal Kenedy County in mid-March. Severe (D2) Drought developed across Island Kenedy County.
