Wider weather episode
Low pressure rode up the Middle Ohio Valley on January 25th. Ahead of the low, mid-level frontogenesis and a surface warm front combined to provide lift, providing morning wintry precipitation before warmer air changed most precipitation to rain by afternoon. Most of multi-inch accumulation reports were found north of I-80 in Pennsylvania, as well as in portions of eastern Ohio. A trace of icing was also reported in a couple of locations.
