Snow amounts were 10 inches in Wayan, 6 inches in Bone, and 8.5 inches in Soda Springs. Snow and wind closed down Idaho Route 34 from Soda Springs to Wayan on the 28th.

Wider weather episode

An extended period of snow and wind in association with a strong Pacific storm system brought heavy snow, strong winds and extreme cold which closed roads and brought widespread heavy snow.
