Three miles west of Custer recorded -29 and Bonanza -30. Wind chills were below 50 below zero.

Extremely cold temperatures combined with high winds to cause dangerously cold wind chills from the 29th through the 31st. Several schools closed on the 30th and 31st due to the cold.
