A temperatures of 31 below zero was measured at the Driggs airport and -26 in Ashton on the 30th. Wind chill readings were widespread below 50 below zero. Fremont County School District 215 and Teton School District 401 were both closed on the 30th and 31st due to the extreme cold conditions.

Wider weather episode

Extremely cold temperatures combined with high winds to cause dangerously cold wind chills from the 29th through the 31st. Several schools closed on the 30th and 31st due to the cold.
