Fire Training Academy RAWS station near Fall City, WA reported a peak gust of 45 mph the morning of the 9th. The gusts downed a tree which killed a women as she walking on her property.
Wider weather episode
Strong gap winds developed across the Cascades on January 9th. Winds in the gaps were gusting to 40-45 mph, including in Fall City, WA where a tree was downed and created a fatality.
