A peak wind gust of 60 MPH was measured by the automated weather station at the Canyonlands Field Airport in Moab.

Wider weather episode

A strong mid-level jet settled over the Four Corners region ahead of an abnormally cold Pacific system. Widespread breezy to windy conditions occurred across eastern Utah ahead of the cold front. Some gusts met high wind criteria, or were greater than 58 mph in the valleys.
