The ADOT sensor along Interstate 40 at Two Guns had a peak wind gust of 78 MPH at 1243 AM. Wind gusts of 58 MPH or higher were observed from around 1215 AM to around 700 AM.
Wider weather episode
The exceptionally deep and cold low pressure system moved across northern Arizona February 21 through early February 23. This storm brought high to very high winds, heavy snow, blowing snow, very cold temperatures, and low elevation rain.
