A 58 mph non-thunderstorm wind gust was measured at a mesonet station in New Palestine.

Wider weather episode

During the morning hours of April 1st, gradient winds in the aftermath of the March 31st storm system brought isolated wind damage to central Indiana. Winds were strongest during the mid-morning hours and gradually decreased in intensity by the afternoon.
