Event narrative

Eight inches of snow was reported near Pinetop-Lakeside by 200 PM. Ten to twelve inches of snow was reported 2 miles north of McNary by 300 PM with drifts 2 to 2.5 feet deep. The Show Low area received around 9 inches of new snow.

Wider weather episode

The exceptionally deep and cold low pressure system moved across northern Arizona February 21 through early February 23. This storm brought high to very high winds, heavy snow, blowing snow, very cold temperatures, and low elevation rain.
