Across the West Glacier Region, the wind chills ranged from -30 to -45F between West Glacier and Marias Pass, in the -15 to -20F range between Columbia Falls and West Glacier and -50 to -60F in the mountains.

An arctic airmass combined with a strong wind gradient brought bitterly cold wind chills of 20 to 50 below zero to portions of western Montana.
