A trained spotter one mile east of Forest Lakes reported 13 inches of snow at 5 PM on 22 February, 19 inches at 12 AM on 23 February, and 24 inches by 730 AM on 23 February.

The exceptionally deep and cold low pressure system moved across northern Arizona February 21 through early February 23. This storm brought high to very high winds, heavy snow, blowing snow, very cold temperatures, and low elevation rain.
