Observers measured between 5 and 9 inches of snow across Dickinson County over an approximate 18-hour period. North winds gusting near 30 mph also causing blowing and drifting of snow.

Wider weather episode

A deepening Plains low pressure system moving through Lower Michigan generated widespread moderate to heavy lake enhanced snow across much of west and central Upper Michigan from the afternoon of the 22nd into the 24nd.
