Bitter cold wind chills in the 25 below to nearly 40 below zero range were observed throughout much of the period. Schools were closed throughout Dickinson County on the 20th and 21st due to the bitter cold.

Observer wet snowfall reports over less than a 14-hour period included 7 inches at Quinnesec and 5 to 6 inches in Iron Mountain.

There was a public report of nearly six inches of snow in Sagola in just over a 24-hour period.

A spotter on the west side of Iron Mountain measured seven inches of wet snow in just over 12 hours along with slush-covered and slippery roads and bridges. The spotter also reported visibilities occasionally ranging from one quarter to one half mile in moderate snow.

Observers measured a widespread 4 to 6 inches of snow across the county in less than 12-hour period. Schools throughout the county were on a two-hour delay on the 28th due to the cleanup from the snowfall.
