A potent storm system moving from the Great Basin Region into the Desert Southwest resulted in very strong winds across portions of southeast California during the evening hours of the 21st and extending into the early morning hours of the 22nd. Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph were observed, with the highest gusts across portions of Imperial County.
