A tree was blown over and fell on a motorcyclist on Mountain Valley Road near the Hamblen/Greene county line.

Numerous thunderstorms moved across East Tennessee during the early morning hours of April 1. Several storms produced damaging wind gusts, and one tornado was confirmed. High winds from the low pressure system were also recorded, with downed trees and structural damage reported in the afternoon hours.
