Chevak AWOS reported reported multiple hours of heavy snow and gusty winds reducing visibility to quarter mile or less at times. Peak wind gusts were as high as 53 MPH.

The wider storm

A deep trough in the Bering Sea moved a series of shortwaves over the West Coast, pushing a cold front across the coast. This induced several inches of snow and gusty, bringing blizzard conditions along the coast.
