Observers measured widespread snowfall totals of 5 to 8 inches of snow across Menominee County over mostly a 12-hour period. Schools throughout the county were on a two-hour delay on the 28th due to the cleanup from the snowfall.

Wider weather episode

A Plains storm system tracking through Lower Michigan dropped widespread moderate to locally heavy snow across much of Upper Michigan from the 27th into the morning of the 28th.
