Overnight lows ranged from 25 to 29 degrees across the area, including a low of 27 degrees at the Canyonlands Field Airport in Moab.

Wider weather episode

Abnormally cold temperatures filtered into Eastern Utah in the wake of a strong cold front. This led to subfreezing temperatures across some of the southeast valleys where vegetation was susceptible to damage.
