Event narrative

Multiple episodes of intermittent dense fog with visibility of a quarter mile or less occurred at the Big Sky Field AWOS (KS85). The first episode lasted for 4 hours from the late night of the 25th to the early morning of the 26th. The second episode lasted 2 1/4 hours on the morning of the 26th.

Wider weather episode

A stagnant weather pattern once again allowed areas of Dense Fog to develop over parts of northeast Montana.
