A line of thunderstorms pushed off the coast and over the Laguna Madre and Coastal Waters the afternoon of April 23rd. The Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at SPI Brazos Santiago (BZST2) recorded wind gusts over 34 knots from 1:18PM CDT through 2:30PM CDT with the highest wind gust observed of 57 knots.

A squall line raced through the Lower Texas Coastal Waters the afternoon of April 23rd. Several of the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) sites along with Buoy42020 reported gusts over 34 knots as the line moved through.
