The Emergency Manager from Port Mansfield shared pictures and videos showing high winds and very rough waters on the Laguna Madre near the docks. Several of the pictures show damage to the docks, including missing sections, along with debris being washed ashore by the strong northeasterly winds that developed behind the line of thunderstorms early in the afternoon of April 23rd. Time and winds are based on nearby observations.

A squall line raced through the Lower Texas Coastal Waters the afternoon of April 23rd. Several of the Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) sites along with Buoy42020 reported gusts over 34 knots as the line moved through.
