Strong and gusty westerly winds impacted Catalina Island. Some peak wind reports from the local mesonet include: Catalina RAWS (gust 80 MPH), KRBT Station Road (gust 69 MPH), Catalina Airport (gust 63 MPH) and Wild Boar Gully (gust 61 MPH).
The wider storm
Strong and gusty west to northwest winds impacted sections of Southwestern California. Peak gusts, in excess of 80 MPH, were reported in some areas.
