Blizzard conditions developed in Utqiagvik during the early morning hours of the 24th and continued through the late morning. The blizzard conditions were accompanied by wind gusts as high as 55 mph in Utqiagvik.

Wider weather episode

A strong front wrapping around a deep low in the Bering Sea moves northward bringing blizzard conditions to the North Slope.
