The Washington State University reported via social media that a weather station in Waitsburg , WA recorded a wind gust of 64mph at 2300 PST on Feb. 20th. The ASOS at the Walla Walla Regional Airport recorded a wind gust of 59mph at 0222 PST on Feb. 21st.
Wider weather episode
Northwesterly flow supported by a strong polar jet in conjunction with a cold frontal boundary facilitated a sustained period of light to moderate snowfall as well as breezy to gusty winds late on February 20th through the 21st and 22nd.
