The ASOS at the Tri-Cities Airport, WA measured a wind gust of 68mph at 1913 PST on Feb. 20th. The mesonet station DW9572 Benton city 4 miles northwest of West Richland, WA measured a wind gust of 60mph at 2000 PST on Feb. 20th.
Wider weather episode
Northwesterly flow supported by a strong polar jet in conjunction with a cold frontal boundary facilitated a sustained period of light to moderate snowfall as well as breezy to gusty winds late on February 20th through the 21st and 22nd.
