Event narrative

The national gridded snowfall analysis indicated 6 to 12 inches of snow at elevations above 1500 feet, and 2 to 6 inches in the lower elevation western portion of the zone.

Wider weather episode

Another cold area of low pressure moved south along the Oregon coast and produced significant snow from the coast to the Cascades with snow levels around 500 feet at the Coast Range and 1000 feet east of the Coast Range to the Cascades.
