The national gridded snowfall analysis indicated snowfall of 6 to 12 inches at elevations above 2000 feet, and 2 to 7 inches at lower elevations.

A strong, cold, slow-moving low produced heavy snow as it moved southeast from the Gulf of Alaska into Oregon then northern California.
