Event narrative

An extended period of strong wind gusts cracked a utility pole forcing it to lean over Highway 11 near mile marker 51 near Pahala. The stronger wind gusts also generated damage to trees and utility lines along Wood Valley and South Point roads.

Wider weather episode

An extended period of stronger wind gusts generated some damage to trees and power lines across portions of Kauai, Oahu and Big Island.
