A male in his 50s drowned trying to save a family of four caught in a rip current in Perdido Key. A 16 year old male trying to help also died. The 12 year old boy they were trying to help died a week later in the hospital.

A 16 year old male and an adult male in his 50s both died trying to save a 12 year old boy from rip currents in Perdido Key. They were family friends visiting from Atlanta. The 12 year old died a week later at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
