Maximum measured gust was from a Mesonet site 5 miles north-northwest of Heartstrong, Colorado. Another gust of 58 mph was recorded at the Yuma, Colorado airport.

A low pressure system swept through eastern Colorado in the early hours of the 31st. The following pressure rise behind the low pressure system resulted in strong winds. The Burlington, Colorado airport reported a 14 millibar pressure rise over 12 hours. The highest recorded gust in eastern Colorado during this event was in Yuma county with a gust of 65 mph.
