A picture submitted by the public indicated a waterspout near the coast of Humacao.

Wider weather episode

A mid level ridge was weakening due to an approaching trough. This trough enhanced instability and showers across the region. Some of these showers resulted in waterspouts around Humacao and St. Thomas.
