Event narrative

A vehicle was trapped over a bridge in Road PR-181, near Escuela Vocacional Antonio Fernos. Two adults were rescued by emergency managers.

Wider weather episode

Unsettled weather with numerous showers and thunderstorms were observed due to an upper level cut-off low strengthening northwest of Puerto Rico. Strong divergence aloft resulted in hail, and the heavy rain left flooding, mudslides and rivers overflowing.
