Waters from Bano Grande have affected the low-water crossing, located near the pool in El Yunque National Forest.

Wider weather episode

An approaching frontal boundary, along with patchy moisture reaching the area, and increased instability due to a developing low north of the islands, resulted in the formation of areas of showers and thunderstorms. These storms resulted in several reports of flooding, mudslides, and even a funnel cloud.
