A lake-effect snow band produced a swath of 3 to 5 inches of snowfall over the northern part of the county with a high report of 6 inches in Gile.
Wider weather episode
Slow moving low pressure over eastern Lake Superior led to a prolonged period of lake-effect snowfall across northern Iron County on the 28th into the 29th. Most areas received around 3 to 5 inches while Gile received 6 inches.
