Mesonet station (TORNV) located 10.0 mi NNE of Trinity Junction reported peak wind gusts of 68 mph.
Wider weather episode
A strong cold front with tight thermal and pressure gradients drove into the western US February 21 and brought mostly wind impacts to the region, as well as some accumulated snow for Sierra passes and western Nevada roadways overnight through the morning February 22.
