A line of thunderstorms pushed off the coast and over the Laguna Madre and Coastal Waters very early in the morning on May 13th. The Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at SPI Brazos Santiago (BZST2) recorded wind gusts over 34 knots from 4:24AM CDT through 4:30AM CDT with the highest wind gust observed of 40 knots at 4:24AM CDT.
