Event narrative

An NWS Storm Survey conducted for the Laguna Heights survey found tornado damage to the immediate coast at 4:08AM CDT. Therefore, it is reasonable to infer that it continued into the Laguna Madre for at least a short period of time as the supercell got ingested into the squall line.

Wider weather episode

Another squall line moved through the Lower Texas Coast early in the morning of May 13th, bringing gusts between 40 to 45 knots along with it.
