Event narrative
A Taku wind event resulted in numerous wind gusts in excess of 60 mph over nearly two days. These gusts were recorded by many stations across the downtown Juneau docks. One station, AJXA2, recorded a peak wind gust of 76 mph at 702 pm AKST March 11.

Taku mountain wave winds developed over downtown Juneau as a NE pressure gradient tightened along the Coast Mountains.
