Event narrative

A peak wind gust of 62 mph was recorded at the Marina mesonet site at 12:30 am 3/15. Additionally, a gust of 58 mph was recorded at the DW6120 Sandy (personal weather station) mesonet site at 10:00 pm 3/14, and a gust of 59 mph was recorded at the Beach mesonet site at 1:05 am.

Wider weather episode

Another winter storm brought gusty winds and accumulating snow to much of Utah in the middle of March. Precipitation combined with snowmelt also resulted in flooding, mostly in southern Utah, including noted fatalities in a popular slot canyon.
