Event narrative

The Hogg Pass SNOTEL measured 9 inches of new snow in a 21 hour period ending at 1000 PDT on March 24th.

Wider weather episode

An upper level elongated trough with several shortwave impulses resulted in a period of moderate to heavy snow across the mountain zones. Heaviest snow was observed across the east slopes of the Oregon Cascades and northern Blues.
