The Hogg Pass SNOTEL reported 10 inches of new snow in a 12 hour period ending at 0300 PDT on March 28th. A trained spotter 7 miles south southwest of Three Rivers, OR reported 9 inches of new snow at 0755 PDT on March 28th.

Wider weather episode

A deepening upper low with deep moisture and low level easterly upslope flow resulted in heavy snow falling across the east slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
