Event narrative

Emergency manager reported flash flooding with several streets underwater. Photos were received of street flooding at Main Street and Orchard Avenue. High water marks were up to the front doors of businesses with some using sandbags. There were no reports of property damage or casualties.

Wider weather episode

A persistent period of above normal moisture produced another day of scattered to numerous thunderstorms over northern and central NM. A few of these storms produced large hail and locally heavy rainfall. A report of quarter size hail was received from Socorro, NM producing no damage. Locally heavy rainfall caused flash flooding in Farmington, NM. Emergency management reported many streets underwater with water marks up to businesses. Thankfully it stopped there and there was no report of property damage.
