Event narrative

A combination of public and spotter reports included snowfall amounts of 7.5 inches in Salt Lake City, 9.7 inches in Cottonwood Heights, and 10.2 inches in Upper Millcreek. As a result of the heavy snow, Interstate 80 at the mouth of Parley's Canyon was closed multiple times due to vehicle accidents.

Wider weather episode

An active month was capped off with another set of quick moving winter storms, bringing accumulating snow to many locations throughout Utah. Periods of high winds were also noted in some locations.
