Event narrative

Multiple trees sustained significant damage from powerful thunderstorm wind gusts. One tree was uprooted, another had its trunk snapped, and multiple other trees lost limbs larger than one foot in diameter. Additionally, large glass pane windows were shattered, with winds tearing down decorations hanging on the inside of the structure.

Wider weather episode

Two mesoscale convective systems produced large hail and damaging winds across East Tennessee.
