Event narrative

A spotter on the west side of Iron Mountain measured seven inches of wet snow in just over 12 hours along with slush-covered and slippery roads and bridges. The spotter also reported visibilities occasionally ranging from one quarter to one half mile in moderate snow.

Wider weather episode

A couple of upper disturbances moving through the area produced moderate wet snow over portions of west and central Upper Michigan beginning late on the 5th and continuing into the 6th.
