Freezing drizzle and freezing fog was reported within Kit Carson county creating low visibilities down to 1/2 of a mile and icy roads. Due to these hazardous driving conditions, an accident occurred on I-70 at Mile Marker 441 (2 miles east of Burlington, CO) that caused one of the lanes to be closed. No injuries were reported. Key impacts: hazardous traveling conditions, road closures, vehicular accidents.

Freezing drizzle and freezing fog occurred within East-Central Colorado on the evening of March 8th going into the following morning of March 9th. The resulting icy roads and reduced visibilities down to 150 ft. created hazardous driving conditions that led to vehicular accidents within the region.
