Event narrative

Blizzard conditions developed on the Baldwin Peninsula and Selawik Valley the morning of the 25th and continued into the in early morning hours of the 26th. Winds at Kotzebue gusted as high as 67 mph. Noorvik had wind gusts to 58 mph and Selawik had gusts to 45 mph.

Wider weather episode

A front associated with a low moving north through the Bering Sea brought blizzard conditions to portions of western Alaska.
