Event narrative

Blizzard conditions developed late in the evening of the 24th and continued into the evening of the 25th along the western Arctic Coast. Cape Lisburne had wind gusts as high as 100 mph while Wainwright had wind gusts as high as 50 mph.

Wider weather episode

A front associated with a low moving north through the Bering Sea brought blizzard conditions to portions of western Alaska.
