Event narrative

A strong Pacific cold front brought heavy snow and 50 mph wind gusts. seven miles south southeast of Obsidian measured 19 inches of snow and the Stanley COOP observer measured 7.6 inches. A 55 mph wind gust was measured at Horton Peak.

Wider weather episode

A strong late winter Pacific storm brought heavy snow, heavy rain and strong winds which closed roads across southeastern Idaho. Reports of flooding and wind damage also occurred.
